Learning to run or running longer distances can place new stresses on your body that take some time to adjust to. The running programs at Tri & Run Sports are designed to help your body accommodate to the new stresses regardless of your experience or the distance you are choosing to train for. We encourage you to get clearance from your Doctor to ensure you are in good overall physical shape to begin any Tri & Run Sports programs.
Monitoring your intensity may be required or desired and your coach can talk to you about GPS watches, heart rate monitoring and RPE (rating of perceived exertion).
All classes are taught by knowledgeable runners with coaching experience who will try to time your course completion with a local race. If this is not possible your final class night will be a "race" format with a timed distance and treats afterwards. Tri & Run Sports emphasizes fun with fitness so while encouraging you to perform at your best, all sessions, group nights and "races" will have the primary goal of completion and enjoyment rather than time.
