Wow!  I just put on this Biofreeze that was in the goody bag-from Sydenham on my ankle, and holy snappers!!!  It's super cold!
I got to get some more, this would be great for a sore back.
Give it a try folks, you'll be sold too!

Hmmm..... I don't remember seeing that in my bag.  On second thought - I wonder what I did with my bag????  It's here somewhere.  Probably in one of my many bags.....

I think they were putting that on people's legs when we ran Disney.  I didn't try any though.  I think Beth said she did.

Is it something that is good to use?  By that I mean, is it ok to use here and there, but not regularly?  Just curious.....  How does it work and how long does the freezing last?

Shannon, I found it.  They were attached to a pamphlet with the name Napanee Chiropractic Care Centre on it.  I am betting you can get it other places though.

Oh, I just read the pamphlet and it says that you can't buy it in retail stores - you have to get it from health care professionals.

FYI you have to get Biofreeze from a recognized health professional.  Barb Wykes can get it and if you're really nice to me (cookies, jujubes) I can too.

I found it on Amazon.com too Sandy - it was $6-something for the gel.  Oh, just found it again - here it is  http://www.amazon.com/BioFreeze-Gel-4-oz-Tube/dp/B0009DVDEA/ref=pd_sim_hpc_1/002-7525351-2428063

So is it ok to use this some but not prolonged use?  Is it good to use this product during runs like they did during the Disney marathon?  Or can it result in further damage because you can't feel the pain?

Beth and I tried it at Disney two years ago and it was awesome.  I think we put it on at about 18 miles.  It was the most bizarre thing, it felt very cool on the legs (hence the freeze part in the name) and it was tingly.  It's funny we were just talking about it on our last run with Holly.  We were trying to remember at what mile we saw this bucket of "Dream Creme"!!

Yes please, Sandi, I need access to some, don't want to go all the way to Napenee.  My ankles (yes both) were quite sore last night, and I was glad I put it on.  I put some on again today, and the very comforting.  Problem is, it's the only two packages I've got!
I wonder what it would be like to run with it on????

Yea, this stuff sounds interesting.  Will have to try it on some achies that I have.  You found it comforting Shannon?  I am glad that there is something that can help your poor ankles from hurting.

Sandy, if you are getting some I think that I would like some too.  It is good for arthritis and neck and shoulder pain.  This would be good for me.  Sometimes my old bean bag just doesn't do the trick.

How often should you use that stuff?  Is it just for muscle pain from overuse?  I am just wondering because could it cause problems if you use it instead of treating the cause of the pain?  Just curious....

I'm not sure that my neck pain is treatable.  They tried years ago and never managed to give me any relief.  It comes and goes and lately has been worse than it has been in a while.  If I could take my head off and just leave it on the table it might help.  The arthritis I have is in my nuckles mostly.  They feel like pins are in them some days.  Would be lovely to have something to take that away.  Pills just don't help but since I took up running they are better.

That's my complaints   laugh laugh

Sandy, can you get me some too??  Not for me.  Bob has a sore back -- something to do with carrying our bikes into the basement yesterday, I think.
