The only thing I can imagine is that somebody deleted that gallery. The problem is, everyone has permissions to create a gallery and that means they can also delete gallery's. The only way around it would be to have someone take requests to create a gallery and then anyone can add their images but not delete the gallery. Sandy? Thoughts? In other words just give specific users the ability to create and delete gallery's.

Well, I was about to upload some more photos to the Gallery but there are NONE in there from before that I had posted.  I am sure that I had some in there from the Snowflake Shuffle but I don't see them anywhere.  Since it takes an awful long time to resize the photos before I even put them on the gallery, I don't really know if it is worth my time if they keep disappearing!   But I am going to try again -- maybe I just thought about uploading more again last time and didn't actually do it.

I want to go on record that today, May 4, I am uploading a couple of photos from the One-To-One fundraiser and the Hospice Fundraiser!

Edited again -- I have put two photos under One-to-One fundraiser and three under the Hospice Hike so far.  More to come!!

Still posting photos.  Or trying to.  Here is my problem.....

My camera is set to take my photos at a really high resolution - I mean they are about 2 or 3 MB each.

So when I go to upload them they are WAY TOO BIG.  I have to reduce them down to about 20%.  I resize them using a program called ArcSoft Photo Studio and rename them so I don't lose my usual good quality high resolution photo.  The only problem is when I post the resized photos they are all coming out sort of blurry.

So what is the best way to resize them.  I have to go down to less than 600 x 450 pixels just to get them down smaller than the 114KB size we can use.  I have tried changing the resolution to 100 instead of DPI - I don't think that made much difference.  So what is the best way to resize these photos so that they come out more clearly on the website?  I hate to spend time doing all this just to end up with blurry photos.

Do you think the pictures I added to your gallery are the same or better?

Better.  Some are quite a bit better - I think the first two.

When I was trying to compare, I felt like I was at the eye dr's!  Which is better - this one or this one?  this one or this one?   laugh

Th only real difference between my pictures and yours is the software I used. Your Canon PowerShot SD1000 is set to 3072 x 2304 Highest resolution and your images are coming in at 4.47 MB. In other words they are HUGE! Another thing is, although your people are your focal point they are not taking up the majority of the picture. When you shrink it you will lose the face details etc. To overcome that tighten up your shot or crop the picture somewhat before resizing it.

I have raised the max image size on the gallery to 332 KB. Try this site to re-size your pictures. It's quick and easy.

Set to 600 Pixels

Hopefully that will work for you.
