Is it just me that is having problems typing on here? The site keeps stopping! I am typing along and all of a sudden my letters are not coming out. It is like the site is freezing and I have to type the same letters over and over again to get them to come out!
This is what happens if I type and don't go back to add in the missing characters:

I typed exactly the same thing the second time! It is not happening on anything else I type!

I did a throughput test on the site and all is fine. Jane, it sounds to me like you have something running in the background eating up your memory. The condition you describe is called "painting" and it happens when the memory gets too low to process. I use http://www.tune-up.com/download/ It has lots of cool features that allow you to optimize your computer and memory. It also has a memory useage indicator which will tell you if that's the problem. It cleans your registry etc. as well. One of the big ones is Optimize System Configuration. It sets TCP settings etc. I use this software on all of my puters and it's pretty simple stuff. |

Sounds like the way my home computer runs all the time. Can't play cards or any fun stuff like that. It is always behind or traillllllls accccccross the page. Or is just wipes out anything that your moving the mouse over. Hence large blank spots where you all used to be. Certainly not very productive when it is like that.

Sounds like you need "Tune_Up" as well Cathy. It really does work well. |

Well it has seemed ok since then. But I totally lost my CD drive for some reason. Adam had to do something to my registry to get it back. But I hadn't done anything at all to it! This laptop is only four months old!
