Hi..
I know this site is for usually happier topics but i do have some friends here.
A terrible tragity has struck my family. On Saturday the 13th a fire broke out in my nieces home.
She was at work leaving a baby sitter in charge of 4 children , all under 10 yrs of age. All were my grand nieces and nephew. We don`t really know what happened as of yet. But the fire quickly spread throughout the home. All made it to safety except for the youngest.. our special baby Ava. Ava was 4 and a half yrs old. She died in the fire. We have many questions on how this happened, but right now we are in deep sorrow and just trying to cope.
The kids that made it out are at my brothers house. They have nothing. All was lost. The emergency services of Peterborough are being fantastic. There will be clothes for them. As for the adults.. what can i say?
if anybody out there  can lend a prayer for my family it would mean a great deal too us.
                    thanks for reading this.

Dave, wow, this is so tragic, I can't even imagine.

What can we do?  How can we, even in some small way help them?

I am so deeply touched by your thoughts.. all of you guys... thank you so much. There really isn`t much anyone can do. My brother and his family are in a terrible state. They have lots of friends and support and i go there to do what i can. To lose anyone from your family is tough, but this is the second child we have lost. My older brother was the first. We cannot make any sence from it. I don`t think there is any to be found. Her funeral is on Thursday... this is gonna kill me, but i will stand by my brother as well as i can.
Thank you so very much. You guys are the best.

Thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.  I can't begin to imagine what you are going through.  As everyone else has said, if there is anything we can do, please ask.

Dave, this funeral will feel like it's killing you.  Prayers will help guide you, but it will be the toughest thing you've ever done.  A child's funeral is surreal...sometimes you feel as if you are in a movie, because for a lot of us, it's the only place we've seen it.

how old are the other children??  I assume they need clothes. Or even your brother and his wife?   Please let me know how the Peterborough area does in covering the clothing needs because I have a 13 year old daughter and two boys aged 8 and 9....and LOTS of clothes/shoes that are not being worn.  I'd love to help if I can.
