I have been very, very sick for a week.  I ate no solid food for seven days, only apple sauce, soup and ginger ale...and very little.  I had severe tonsillitis, so swallowing was  impossible for about 4 days...and extremely sore for the other 3 days.  I am on the mend now...just finished 5 days of i.v. antibiotics.  I can eat anything now and I need to gain some weight.  I was at my "skinny, but not too skinny" weight to begin with (thanks to lots of running and eating well all Sept, Oct. and Nov...to lose the summer weight!).  So now I am at least 5 lbs under, maybe more. I can even see it in my arms and face.  I don't want to "eat my way through Xmas" as I've been kidding everyone, even though I will be less careful than normal, knowing that I can afford a few extra calories.  But I'd like to regain some strength and weight quickly and safely.  Any suggestions??  Do Boost or Ensure help?

I used to work in a Nursing Home prior to having my children...they use to use those two products regularly for some of the patients.  Most of those that were using them because they could not eat anything else and they were basically just being sustained with something.
I used to feel so bad for them knowing that was all they could handle.

OMG, I love pizza too!!!  Last night was the first time I was able to eat and I ate three pieces in about 3 minutes.  It was sickening!  And fun!
