All the races ended in the football stadium at Notre Dame with the runners bursting out of the player?s tunnel to the sound of the Irish Fight Song. A great time was had by all. Notable was the fact that in the group were a large number of first time runners including young Mark Coates in the 5k, Karen and Tim Shannon in the 10k and Mary Jo Cassidy, Kelly Scanlon, Julie Murphy and Ashley Walsh who all finished their first half marathon.? Complete results: 5k: Mark Coates (22:53) and Tim Coates (22:54). 10k: Karen and Tim Shannon (1:08:52) and Marge Scanlon (1:02:23) 21K: Mary Jo Cassidy (2:12:16), Kelly Scanlon (2:30:23), Ashley Walsh (2:11:52) and Julie Murphy (2:15:00).
