Is this for next May?  How does it fit in with Sulphur Springs?  Were people going to go and do that one too?

You read my mind.  I looked at this year and it's the week before, the same weekend as Ottawa.  I am definatly going to Sulpher in 2010 so will hold out for a bit on the Women's.  I will do both if they in fact land on different weekends.  Maybe you could ask when you go to the Toad training Jane and see if someone knows.

According to their website, here  http://www.burlingtonrunners.com/index.cfm?id=5711 the trail run will be on 22-23 May weekend.

The calendars I keep looking at say that May 24 is Victoria Day.  I always thought that Victoria Day was the third Monday of May.  May 24 is the fourth Monday of May.

Anyhow, it looks like they are on different weekends.

Well then, that would make Sulphur Springs on a long weekend then.  Might not be so good for travelling (extra traffic) but an extra recovery day (not at work) for those longer distance runners is good.  Heather and I had talked about going and doing the 10K like we had in previous years.  It was fun!

my friend and I had a very hard time deciding whether or not to do the womens half again.  Even though we really enjoyed it, we LOVE doing Ottawa, and it's too bad they are the same weekend.  We opted for Ottawa simply because we really missed doing it this year.  And I guess you could say we're not the "girl power" types and we didn't  get a whole lot out of the womens' only style run.  Glad we did it once, but we'll do Ottawa in 2010.  Also we did not want to have to commit to a run so far in advance!
