What is the consensus regarding weight training over the winter for improving cycling performance?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, do it, absolutely, a must, continue into cycling season, don't let up.
Was I clear?

Crystal!
We're moving this weekend, so I'll finally have a nice spot in the basement for my dusty weights and the trainer.
Thanks Sandy

I think strength training is excellant for overall health.
Mainly focus on the core, and work muscles that don't typically get alot of attention.
As far as improving cycling performance I doubt strength training will do much, nothing improves like sports specific training.
But as I mentioned for overall health it's what us endurance junkies need.
Peace
Peter

Darn, I was hoping it would cut down on the amount of sand being kicked in my face on group rides!
Thanks Peter
