Damon did not qualify. I feel bad for him, but he says he's just going to train for his bike ride now. BTW, for those who don't know. Damon has qualified as one of the riders for the Sears National bike ride for Kids Cancer research. Next September he will be riding across Canada in 16 days. All to support childrens cancer research. He'll be asking everyone for a donation, and one of us will let you know when his website is up to accept your support.
As a non-cyclist, this is a huge undertaking, as this years team rode 200-300 kms/day. Damon will be sacrificing countless hours training first to become a cyclist, then to become a marathon cyclist.
I'll keep you posted.

I just want to say that although Damon did not qualify (he needed to run 3:10) he did run two marathons within a months time, both under 3:20 (3:17 at PEC and 3:19:59 at Hamilton). Kudos to you Damon, that is fabulous, small consolation I know but it is something to be proud of.

Congrautlations on a great run and time Damon.
Damon you are an amazing runner and athlete. We all know that marathons can beat you up pretty badly and for you to run back to back marathons both under 3:20 is indicative of your level of athleticism.
Kudos to you I am very proud of you and I look forward to talking to you about your run.
Now what about that bike ride...

Thank you to all for the support, but those who know me 3:19 or 3:17 is still not good enough. I will break 3 hours or it will break me. Hamilton is a fast race and easy just didnt have the legs. If you are struggling on your Boston time try it there. Lots of down hill (4 miles of it). Just ask my legs it hurts. Execellent training for Boston. I lost it in the last 5 km. For those who have been there knows how that feels watching your time tick away and telling yourself it 5km 25 min tops. When it really means 35 mins but the body dont care it was done.
