Ok Guys I know this year was tough and I heard a lot of grumblings about "never" doing this again but I was wondering if a bunch of us might be interested in doing this. Some, especial Ironman Canada guys should be in phenomenal shape at this time and ready for a mental refresher. Also Chico is offering a shorter version so if you weren't feeling like doing the whole thing we could still do it as a group but everyone doing what they felt capable of. Here the info for the last newsletter

Crank The Shield
September 17-19, 2010

Eastern North America's Most Popular Mountain Bike Stage Race
- 240 km over 3 days of REAL mountain biking!

Crank The Shield offers tremendous real mountain bike courses, amazing singletrack, cabin accommodations for two evenings and food that will gain you weight if you wish to do so.  Crank The Shield is attracting riders from across North America, it is that GREAT! Don't miss your opportunity to ride this fantastic stage race and experience the excitement, camaraderie and challenge of this event.

Crank the Shield also offers short courses for all 3 days!

As a way to get a larger variety of riders involved in Crank the Shield, we are offering shorter rides within each day!  Now there's no excuse not to join us on a unique tour of one of Ontario's most beautiful areas.  Though still tough, our goal is to make the shorter days between 50 - 60 km of total riding.  You decide later whether a long course or short course works better for you. Short course riders won't be eligible for awards in 2010, and they will be lumped into one category.

Register Early to get the best cabins and great pricing that ends mid-December.  Online registration opens on www.cranktheshield.com on November 16.  Entries are limited and due to last year's popularity we are expecting to sell this out.

Just a thought.

Peace
Peter

Hey Pete!

When I received that email last week I deleted that so fast but....................................... you have piqued my interest ever so slightly. The pain hasn't completely left me yet from the 2009 version of the Crank, but enough for me to waffle a bit.

I'm a definate Maybe.

Way to go Woody,

If you commit I know the "others" will have a hard time find good enough excuses not to join in.

Peace
