The 09 FatAss was only my 3rd race, the first two were the Cape Breton Relay and the Ottawa Army Run 1/2.  In the Cape and Army runs racers grabbed their drinks from aid station volunteers and threw their cups to the ground seconds later.  At the FatAss I gulped on the run and then dropped my cup at the trail side but felt badly due to the fact that my cup was the only one on the ground.  Am I an unthinking clod!?  Did everyone else stop to drink and then place their cup in a garbage can?  I was going as fast as I could and really didn't notice garbage cans.  I try to be concsientious, please sort me out, thank-you.  Many thanks to the great volunteers at the FatAss.

No you were perfectly fine and proceeded as expected.  Our volunteers were just very efficient at cleaning up!  Good job!
