Mix 97 is reporting that the Belleville Police have issued a warning to women who live alone with regards to the Jessica Lloyd case. (and the OPP are checking to see if they can connect this to Marie Comeau's murder case - in Brighton) They are saying to lock your doors and windows at all times and change up your routines.
I just wanted to make sure that all the ladies who run alone are aware of this. Be careful out there.

It is so thoughtful of you, Diane, to make sure that we are all aware of that media release.  When I read the article for the first time last night, my thoughts were very similar to yours in that I wondered if it WAS safe to continue to run outside ... would a change in routine be enough?  I'm not sure.

Here is a link to an article that I found today.

It is an eye opener and very well worth the read.

Within the last few days, somebody mentioned that we are only as safe today as we always have been.  The important thing is to be aware and do everything in our means to stay as safe as we can.

It isn't if you finish first.  It isn't if you finish last.  It's that you finish the race.
