Good Morning -
I had to write this as yesterday when I started the half in Trenton, I was NOT feeling well at all, besides being really tired.  Thanks to Kate for starting with me (you lost time because of me), and then to Tim Osborne (Quinte West) for encouraging me on at the half way mark.  Believe me, I was trying to think of alllll sorts of excuses to quit, but I didn't.  The encouragement from the folks at the water stations, and the OPP Officer's helped alot.
As I was trudging along, I kept thinking, I may come in last or at least by 2:45 (time), but I'm doing something to help the community and myself.
Then I got a spurt of energy, and was actually RUNNING, not trudging/shuffling, that I had to make myself slow down so I could actually finish.  When I got to the end and saw the time   2: 23 :.......  saw and heard Sandy (my man), Saydee (my dog), Kate, and Sandy and the crew from Tri & Run, wow, I had no choice but to sprint across the finish.

Thanks for all the encouragement, the congratulations and hugs  - I honestly didn't think I could do it this time - and btw  PEC last year for me  2:30:10  -  so this is truly an accomplishment for me, and couldn't do it without the support.

THANK YOU !!!!!! grin

The encouragement from the volunteers and the police was absolutely motivating!  It will be a long time before I forget the policeman at RCAF Road/Highway 2 asking me if I wanted to race him (as I was almost finished my second loop around).  Certainly made me smile!

Ya done good, Glo!  Congratulations!!

(PS  Got all kinds of grief from my youngest about leaving you  embarrassed

It isn't if you finish first.  It isn't if you finish last.  It's that you finish the race.
