It's humid out there again today Nancy.  Let's hope that is it.  The heat takes a whole lot out of everyone for sure!  And if you are like me and start out hating the heat anyway ... doesn't leave a whole lot of hope for a fun, energy filled workout.

Thanks for the recipe ... sounds good (except for the chocolate ... but I could probably substitute plain protein powder)!!

I agree! It's HOT out there. I find even a huge difference in temps if I go out at 7am instead of 7:30 or 8am. Any later than that and I have to find a very shady route.
Your knee - listen to your physio and do the exercises they give you. My daughter had very similar issues and he almost garanteed she would be pain free in 2 weeks. I was a little hesitant to believe him but he was absolutely right. Simple little exercises and she was back stronger than ever.
Your recipe - looks awesome! Can't wait to try it.

My plan was to get out by 7, I didn't go until 8-8:30 and the air was already thicker.

Rhonda that is good to hear about your daughter, gives me faith.  I am seeing improvements already but being cautiously optimistic...(likely mostly the week of rest) I am going to continue to go to my therapist and follow all orders. I've been doing my exercises and taking it easy on my runs.

The shake was good, fired me right up! Kate you can substitute anything you want. You don't like chocolate??? or just chocolate protein powder?

Just got in from getting cherries, and cucumbers, it is hot, think a swim is in order...well maybe a quick bike ride first..

I sympathize Nancy.
I have been having mine worked on too ("here ... let's try something to see if we can get rid of that popping in the hip that you talk about").  Apparently has to do with when my hips were out of alignment and caused it to tighten up.
Ouch!

Well I hope my hips never get out of alignment lol wow. At first she said now tell me if this hurts, and it did a bit, but I bit my lip, then I could barely stand it, I continued to bit my lip, thinking if this helps I will suck it up... then I broke a sweat, and said OUCH!!!! lol not funny then... however I will keep it up, they know what they are doing!

I just came back from my first run/walk in weeks and I did good, no pain and I feel really happy. I set out to do 1km walk, 1km run...etc until 5km was met. I did it! AND NO PAIN, I came home and iced anyway. But going up the stairs is fine.

I will continue slowly and keep doing my leg strengthening exercises and seeing my physiotherapist but I am cautiously ecstatic! runner

congrats Nancy on a pain free run.

I've bit the bullet and going to see Bryab this afternoon,  I'm TIRED of all these injuries I've had this year.  Now left leg is sore (like the right was), and the calf, decides to 'calf' every so often - damn horseshoe mice LOL.

Hopefully I'll be 100% pain free soon as well, and can actually run the distances I want to, instead of taking it easy, and a day here and a day there.

It is frustrating isn't it

Thanks  azn

How did you make out visiting Bryan?

It is frustrating, such highs and lows.

I am still pain free, lots of biking, hiking, walking, going to try another run Monday. Keep on strengthening legs, then move onto arms, why not, I am in the groove now!

Bryan answered alot of questions as to why so many injuries this year, and we are working on the problem.
Haven't run or cycled since Thursday (had an extremely busy weekend), but now that life is supposedly back to normal, I will start my normal run and cycle routine.

Hopefully pain free!!

Super, I hope you can resolve all the issues and get back at it, healthy and pain free in fair time.
