I'm not usually over by the sewage treament plant, it smells too bad this time of year.  I do take the dogs down there early spring though.

i didn't think  you were being mean, lol.  Accurate is good.  I don't think the loop is 5k, I think 3 k is probably closer.

The 5k includes a repeat loop of the east side, and a trip out to the water plant.  I'm pretty sure 3k is about right.

Mike

P.S. Welcome aboard.

I don't recall doing a repeat loop of the east side.  I remember doing it twice a few years ago when we didn't run out to the water plant and around the west Zwicks.

I went on Gmaps and mapped it out.  I am not sure if I got it quite right or not, but maybe someone can look at it and verify it.  Here it is:  http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/?r=3832765

Well, that is stupid - it only shows a little strip of the map!  Going to try again!

If this one doesn't work, then you will need to map it yourself.  But it comes out pretty close to 5K.

It is hard to map because it is hard to figure out where the path goes.  On the first one, I made us follow the road coming off East Zwicks, but on the second one, I remembered that we ran the path along the dog park (I think) so changed that.

OK editing it again.  When you first click on the link, all it shows is a small strip of the map.  If you hit F5 it will refresh and show a larger area.

People are always blaming their circumstances for what they are. I don't believe in circumstances. The people who get on in this world are the people who get up and look for the circumstances they want, and, if they can't find them, make them.

Not sure if this will help or not, but if you are looking for an almost 5km run/walk, this is:

http://connect.garmin.com/activity/37841434

I start at the rock to the right of the dog park parking lot... and head around the dog park, coming out near the hotel, cross the road and go past ball park out to water treatment plant on the water, right to end of pavement, and back.

Julia Goolie ...

Come on out to the Canada Day 5K.  It will determine the 5K path for you ... give or take!

Julia, it does, I am still quite new and I can't believe how much further I am able to go, and even having moments of "I love this!"
