Congratualtions Peter,
Can't even really begin to imagine biking for any amount of hours thru the woods, mud, rain etc.  I will tell you that a little bit of evil in me thought "ah ha, now I know how I can keep up with Peter, just put him on a mountain bike, throw some wet roots, heavy mud and fog at him, I've got his number evil"  seriously though very impressive, bask in your accomplishment, kudos to you.

G'day Guys,

Here's a video clip of what the event is like.

When I see stuff like this it makes me want to go ride.

Peace

I just have to say, that the mental toughness alone that must be required to even attempt such an event is absolutely amazing to me!  You rock Peter!

WOW ... it looks like SO MUCH FUN!
Hard to remember when watching the video that it is actually a racing event and not a (fun) recreational ride through the woods (which would be more my speed).
Congratulations on taking up the challenge Peter and thanks for sharing the video clip!!

Wow!!! Awesome clip! Wonder if something like that could be added to the Fat Ass but waaayyy scaled back. Make it like a Goofy...bike one day and run the next. Just thinking out loud.

Oh dear.  Now you have planted that thought, Rhonda.
New event for 2011?

Why not??
I just figured because registration was open and people had already registered we'd have to look at next year.  But good idea!  It could still happen!

If worse comes to worse, we could just set a mtb date for the Saturday (day before the race) and ride the trails, as a ad hoc fun race.

Peace

Just watched the video.. the Trent Hillbillies jersey sure stand out in a race!!    Which reminds me Cal and I did the MOMAR race in Sqaumish BC if anyone is interested, I will attach the site. To see pictures go to racer results and the facebook logo to watch the 2 clips. Watch for the jerseys.
