I did this race last year. The run series was new to this Tri event. I thought it was a great run for beginners because the field of runners was so small. With only 35 runners in the 5k and 21 in the 10k it made it possible for my sister in law to win bronze for her gender/age catergory in her very first 5k and me a gold in my 10k. It's run mostly in the shade along a section of the Cataraqui Trail with some road and starting and finishing on the school track. The 5k was an out and back and you did it twice for the 10k. A cotton t-shirt (with upgrade option to tech for a fee), finishers medal, great weather (at least last year there was) and a chance to run alongside some of the triathletes made for a great day.

Congrats on the challenge of "going Goofy" April!

This event sounds VERY fun.  Sadly, it falls on the same Sunday as Wolfe Island (that I am already registered for).  Will try and keep in it mind for next year!!

It isn't if you finish first.  It isn't if you finish last.  It's that you finish the race.
