I am sure this problem has been addressed somewhere in this forum but couldn't find it...
I have some chafing issues in my sit area. Too much biking I believe but is there ever such a thing??
With Peterborough rapidly approaching (like a rocket in my mind) and lots of heavy training still to come is there anything anyone has used which will help this problem.
Looking forward to sitting comfortably once again...

Most bike shops carry it. Vaseline also works but doesn't wash out as easily. Also heard good things about Bag Balm, a product made for cows udders. Here is a link with some good info- http://www.teamjudson.com/articles/sores.htmHope this helps.

Tri & Run Sports of course.
Stay away from Vaseline it stains as does Bag Balm. Bag Balm works well as an after product and can only be purchased at Co-Ops or from large animal vets.

You could probably also use Body-Glide. I expect that Tri and Run also carries that...
Mike
Still like the Chamois But'r, very slippery stuff.

You can use Body Glide (yes we do carry it) but I agree with Mike, Butt Butter is a much better product.

I love the Butt Butter better than Body Glide - use it all the time now.
and it's not as tacky - think of this as a comparison - butt butter is like body lotion and body glide is like a deoderant (talking texture wise and application)

I use a combo of both body glide and the butt'r, and re-apply as needed! That's also important, bringing a small container for IM Wendy, makes those long rides way better on the girl parts. Can't wait to see you on Sunday!
