Can anyone suggest a good yet inexpensive pair of earbuds to use with my ipod while running? My last pair were JVC but I have no idea what I paid for them and I think my sweat wore the rubber coating right off the wires. My problem is keeping them in my ears when I'm dripping in perspiration. I am constantly readjusting and shoving them back in. Most sales people I have encountered are not much help as they are just trying to sell anything. They stand there and read the description on the package to me...I can do that on my own. Thanks

I use Skullcandy earphones, and absolutely love them....there are cheaper and more expensive versions.

I HIGHLY recommend Skull Candy. I have just thrown out my second set and am replacing them (hopefully today!). I think they come with a 1 year replacement guarantee (which I never have had to use). The ear buds come with 3 different size buds so you can size them so that they stay in your ears.
I am pretty sure they sell them at the HCM Store at the Quinte Mall. I think they are about $20.
Hope this helps!

I use Sony ones with a headband (kinda like the old fashioned headphones, but with a tiny speaker that goes inside the ear.) The only place I was able to find them was Best Buy.

I use the ipod ones, but I too have heard the Skull Candy are great. My husband uses the Sony ones I think the same as Mike and thinks they are really good. He has a big head and says they are the only ones that bend enough to fit - and they maintain their tightness to stay put.

I just hate wrestling with the buds. Can't make them stay put...

I guess it is certainly a matter of preference. I really like the earbud ones. Rarely do I have to put them back in on a run.

I use the ones that are buds with a loop around the ear and they never fall out.

Funny when I got my first ipod years ago, I hated the ear buds, they felt like rocks in my ears I used to say..lol I tried various other types, they were all ok, but I prefer the ear bud style now.

Mike - I used to have the same problem. The great thing about Skullcandy headphones is that you get a variety of sized a gel-like buds so they can be tailored to the size of your ear. They are also very pliable, yet durable, so they don't move around or fall out. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a great fitting pair. Oh, and I didn't mention that the sound quality is awesome!

Thanks Cathy. I turned the big 30 yesterday! I was told that I now hold official cougar status...or at the very least I'm a cougar in training!!! LMAO Either way, I feel great, and have accomplished so much already in my life, I'm not freaked out by 30 at all!! I'm told the 30's are better than 20's, so I'm looking forward to it! Cheers, Stephanie

Oh ... And back to the ear bud querry. Still trying to find the basic Skull Candy ear buds somewhere in Belleville, although I haven't had much time to look. I can tell you that Future Shop has them ... but at a "next level" with volume control in the wiring for the ear phones ... for $30. I still will look at the HVM Store at the Mall (which is where I normally can find them), but I avoid going to the Mall as much as possible. It never seems to be a quick trip in and out.
