Sandy, my journey with running has you peppered throughout. I took up running at age 42 (3yrs ago) when the guys I was working with, encouraged me to sign up for the hypothermic half...my incessant laughter ensued...winter and running?!? No thank you. Lying in bed on Saturday night...well I signed up. None of them did. Anyway fast forward 5 months and I walked into Tri N Run...to buy gels for the first time, and you offered your assistance. You were so kind and non-judgmental when I told you that my half-marathon was the next day. (You must have been busting a gut inside)...having had a successful half, I began running Saturdays with Joanna and the morning long run group 🥰. Your patience with all of us and the sage advice you so willing offered have been so helpful. You had time for every question and your encouragement has stayed with me and I hear your voice whenever I have a cramp, overheat, have negative self-talk etc. I could go on forever about how awesome you are, but uou have so many others who are grateful to call you coach/advisor/mentor/hero/friend. Wishing you all the best. Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️.
